Please contact us before turning up. We are all volunteers on the project at the moment.

Where: Cecil Avenue Allotments, BD7 (Cecil Avenue off Horton Park Avenue)

Directions: Go up Great Horton Road past Mumtaz Asian Restaurant on the right. Further up you will see Mumtaz car park on the left. Keep going up Gt Horton Rd, past the car park and past Horton Park Avenue then turn left down Ash Mount. The allotment gate is 10 metres further on the right. Find us on site, most likely in the middle or by the shipping containers on the Cecil Av side.

Provided: Hot drinks, gloves, boots, tools and any basic training required.

Tasks: At the moment tasks might include preparing ground for two poly-tunnels, digging, wood chipping, hedge lopping, junk clearing and brewing tea using our fire-powered storm-kettle. We will slowly be moving on to creating raised beds, horticulture, creating a nature area and an exciting large edible forest garden.

Other volunteer opportunities: We would also hugely appreciate help with funding bids, organising events, market research, photography and publicity. We hold regular committee meetings that anyone wanting to get involved can come along to.
